Fluidra takes part in the world's first Cartoon Network Amazone themed waterpark in Thailand
Fluidra has signed an agrrement with Amazon Falls Co. Ltd, and is responsible for the delivery and execution of the hydraulic and fluid handling systems in the entire park area, which will span over some 55,000 square meters.
The new park “Cartoon Network Amazone” will aim at becoming the symbol of a new generation of national tourist destinations, and expects to attract more than 800,000 visitors during its first year.
The project strengthens the position of Fluidra as a leader in water-related projects in Asia.
Fluidra, the listed Spanish multinational group devoted to developing applications for the sustainable use of water, will take part in the development of Thailand’s first internationally themed waterpark named Cartoon Network Amazone.
The project, valued at 2.5 millions euro, consists of the delivery and execution of the hydraulic and fluid handling systems in the entire park area, which will span over some 55,000 square meters.
Located in Bang Saray, close to the famous tourist beach city of Pattaya, this project will open its gates in 2013. The new park will aim at becoming the symbol of a new generation of national tourist destinations, and expects to attract more than 800,000 visitors during its first year.
In January 2012, Fluidra created an Asian division to be able to manage the Group companies’ operations in China, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia. According to Eloi Planes, Fluidra’s CEO: “This project proves that our branches are competitive and perfectly capable of participating in water-related projects in different regions of the world”.
The waterpark will provide visitors with a wide range of experiences for the whole family ranging from thrilling high speed water attractions, family raft rides, to a giant water attraction area just for kids with over 150 water features and 2 large tipping buckets, as well as an adventure river and family wave pool. The park will also have large leisure area with lounges and private cabanas.
The park is but the first stage of a destination resort that will include a variety of installations as well as exclusive hotels and spas, which will make the area very attractive to local and international visitors.
