At Fluidra, we are firmly resolved to cooperate with society in ways that go
beyond the business activity. As a result, we develop a wide range of sponsorship and patronage
actions. Thus, we assume the acquired commitment to return to the community a part of what it gives
to us.
Its policy of providing resources for sportive, social and cultural programmes is oriented to
give support to those projects that build a greater value for the society. Moreover, it contributes
to the Fluidra’s commitment to positive integration within every community and country in which it
carry out its activities.

Sports Sponsorship
FINA (International Swimming Federation)

Fluidra, through its holding company AstralPool, has become the only Spanish official
sponsor of the FINA. Fluidra’s Skypool technology, which enables the construction of temporary or
permanent suspended pools, represented a milestone in the world of swimming competition. This was
recognised by the company being named Official FINA Partner by the International Swimming
Federation (FINA). The sponsorship agreement saw Fluidra become the official supplier of
competition swimming pools for the world championships in Shanghai (China) in 2006, in Melbourne
(Australia) in 2007 and in Manchester (United Kingdom) in 2008.
Fundació Catalana per a l’Esport

Fluidra, along with the Fundació Catalana per a l’Esport, sponsored an exhibition match
between two of the best handicapped players in Spain. The Spanish wheelchair tennis champion,
Francesc Tur, faced the number 3 Spanish player in this category, Cristian Mira, in an exhibition
match on court 3 of the Royal Tennis Club of Barcelona on 29 April, the day of the Open Seat 55th
Count of Godó Tournament grand final.
The Fundació Catalana per a l’Esport is a non-profit entity which is presided over by Rafael
Español. The main objective of the Fundació is to promote sport in Catalonia, especially among
schools, seniors, the handicapped and immigrants.

Fundación Esclerosis Múltiple (FEM)

Fluidra supports the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation which organizes yearly a social awareness
action called “Mulla’t”, the objective of which is the public’s social commitment to the 40.000
people that sufres multiple sclerosis in Spain. This action is held each year at roughly 600 pools
throughout Spain. 2007 edition took place on Sunday 8th July. Fluidra has been supporting this
initiative for several years.
Fundació Catalana de l’Esplai

Fluidra supports this foundation which aims the achievement of high standards for education
for children and young people.
Esplai is a Catalan word meaning educational leisure time. It refers both to an educational
concept and to the building where the activity takes place, that is to say, the educational leisure
time centre. In addition, an esplai is a non-profit educational organisation, independent from
school and family, in which children and youngsters participate freely and learn to play the
leading role in their own projects.

Palau de la Música Catalana

The Palau de la Música Catalana is one of the world's leading concert halls. Considered to be
one of Modernism's chief exponents, it was built by architectLluís Domènech i Montaner between 1905
and 1908. In 1997 it was declared a "World Heritage Site" by UNESCO.
Gran Teatre del Liceu

Fluidra has been patron of Gran Teatre del Liceu, one of the most solemn theatres of the
nineteenth century, for several years. Built in 1847, it has survived two fires during its
lifetime. Reopened in 1999, today it is one of Barcelona's identifying symbols and an essential
part of its cultural heritage, offering a unique setting for cultural, business and/or social
events.
Fundación Privada Sant Vicenç d'Estamariu
Fluidra also selflessly participates in reconstruction work of public interest such as Roman
churches, offering its support to the Fundació Sant Vicenç (Estamariu).
Internacional sphere
In the international sphere, Fluidra supports social organisations
such as the Catalan Centre in Shanghai (China) and backs local programmes in Australia with, for
example, the donation of swimming pool equipment for pools for people with physical disabilities..
