Fluidra, through its holding company AstralPool, has become the only Spanish official sponsor of the FINA (International Swimming Federation). Fluidra's Skypool technology, which enables the construction of temporary or permanent suspended pools, represented a milestone in the world of swimming competition. This was recognised by the company being named Official FINA Partner by the International Swimming Federation (FINA). The sponsorship agreement saw Fluidra become the official supplier of competition swimming pools for the world championships in Shanghai (China) in 2006, in Melbourne (Australia) in 2007 and in Manchester (United Kingdom) in 2008.
Fluidra, along with the Fundació Catalana per a l'Esport , has sponsored two exhibition matches the day of the Open Seat Count of Godó Tournament grand final, between the best handicapped players in Spain. Spanish wheelchair tennis players, Francesc Tur, Cristian Mira, Elenea Jacinto and Nadia Goyeneche have played together with Sergi Brugera, Carles Costa and Arantxa Sánchez Vicario.
The Fundació Catalana per a l'Esport is a non-profit entity which is presided over by Rafael Español. The main objective of the Fundació is to promote sport in Catalonia, especially among schools, seniors, the handicapped and immigrants.
