    Skypool solution adopted by Fluidra for the reform of the swimming pools of the La Cebada Municipal Sports Center in Madrid.
    The Madrid City Council has announced the completion of the works on the new La Cebada Sports Center located in the square with the same name, in the heart of the La Latina neighbourhood. It has a total built area of 7,720 m2 spread over seven floors, two of them below ground. The new facilities include two indoor swimming pools, a main one measuring 418 m2 and another for beginners measuring 78 m2, which are located in a large area of 962 m2. The building also has 352 m2 for a gym and a large outdoor space of 915 m2 located on the terrace.
    Description of Fluidra's scope
    - Semi-Olympic pool of 25m x 16.5m and a variable depth of 1.8m / 1.9m / 2.2m. - Learning pool 12.5m x 6m x 0.7m / 1m.It is a project with a Turnkey scope where Fluidra has carried out both the design, product supply, installation and supervision of the project.Semi-olympic pool Renovation panels. The Skypool renovation panel system was used for the construction of the pool shell. The system consists of prefabricated panel sections 1m wide, 1.2m high, up to the base of the bathing step, and 2mm thick, made of 304 Stainless Steel.- 77m/l. Smooth Renovation Panel 1.2m in 304 Stainless Steel. - 83m/l. 304 Stainless Steel overflow channel. - 6m/l. Panel with integrated ladder. Includes stainless steel steps and handrails.Waterproofing of the glass. The swimming pool is waterproofed by means of a 1.5 mm thick reinforced PVC membrane, made with two sheets of PVC welded by means of a hot calendering process.An internal fiberglass armor reinforces the entire sheet. This coating is used throughout the pool shell, adapting to any shape and guaranteeing its watertightness.Anti-mold geotextile blanket for subsequent installation of the liner on the ground.The marking of the 8 lanes (vertical targets and bottom lines) is carried out using black PVC lines, according to FINA specifications.The base of the bathing step will be finished with a black non-slip sheet.- 705m/2. Reinforced PVC sheet for covering the floor, walls and overflow channel of the pool. - 8 u. Background lane lines configured using black PVC sheet. - 16 u. Vertical targets configured with black PVC sheet.Water circulation system. The system is composed of:- 14 u. High efficiency side discharge nozzles. - 2 u. Bottom sinks. - 2 u. Pool cleaner nozzles. - 30 u. Overflow nozzles.Learning pool Renovation panels. The Skypool renovation panel system was used for the construction of the pool shell. The system consists of prefabricated panel sections 1m wide, 0.7 deep and 2mm thick made of 304 Stainless Steel.- 31m/l. Smooth Renovation Panel (0.7) in 304 Stainless Steel - 37m/l. 304 Stainless Steel Overflow Channel - 1 pc. Stainless steel handrail for construction stairs.Waterproofing of the glass. Overflow nozzles.Competition accessories FLUIDRA has a wide range of high-quality competition products and equipment that are fully compatible with Skypool technology and that comply with FINA regulations.The range of swimming competition products and accessories planned for this project is as follows:- 1 pc. Platform for podiums, 16.5m. - 8 u. 400mm high starting podium. - 6 u. Retractable anchor for signal posts. - 18 units Retractable anchors for lane ropes.FLUIDRA included the permanent presence in the project of a Project Management team that offered technical support during the construction process.
