Fluidra, a global leader in pool and wellness equipment, has been chosen to design and build a fountain located in an artificial lake in Mivida, a residential complex in New Cairo, Egypt. Projects related to the development of lakes and fountains are part of Fluidra's Commercial Pools division, which in the first nine months of the year accounted for 6% of the company's total sales.
The contract is valued at more than one million euros, an important project that will serve to reinforce Fluidra's international presence in this area. It is also a sign that, despite the pandemic, there are water projects that are continuing to move forward.
The watershow fountain will be controlled by DMX technology, with RGB+W LED lighting and a touch screen for in-situ or remote control of musical choreography. With this project, Fluidra will be contributing to the area’s leisure and commercial offering and making the day-to-day lives of the local population more enjoyable.
Fluidra arrived in Egypt in 2010 and since then the market has continued to grow, thanks to the exceptional work of the Fluidra Egypt team. With this new project, the company is also gaining experience in large-scale fountain projects and consolidating its position as one of the key players in the sector.
Some of the most noteworthy fountains created by Fluidra in recent years include the Kashirskaya Plaza Digital Fountain in Moscow (Russia), the world's tallest indoor digital water curtain; the Baku Geyser, rising to a height of 140m high, the tallest fountain in the Caspian Sea; and the famous fountain for the 2017 Astana Expo in Kazakhstan.
