The 2017 Summer Universiade, commonly known as the Taipei 2017 Universiade, was the 29th edition of an international multi-sports event that took place in Taipei, Taiwan from 19 to 30 August 2017.

Description of Fluidra's scope

For swimming competitions, Fluidra designed, supplied and installed an Olympic and a training pool, which obtained FINA certification in line with its Facility Rules for competition pools. The project was commissioned by Taipei City Government and includes some of the most advanced solutions available. Specifically, the floating Skypool system that makes it possible to build a temporary pool without affecting a sports pavilion’s flooring as it does not have to be anchored to the ground. Furthermore, the system will use the compact Nephron water treatment system, which was specially designed for provisional swimming competition facilities and has already been used in some world swimming championships. Once the 29th Summer Universiade Games were over, both pools were moved and re-installed from the National Taiwan University Sports Center to its definitive location in south Taiwan.
