Fluidra Social Action

Our commitment to the community is firm and ongoing. That is why Fluidra develops its social action in two ways, through Fundació Fluidra and other initiatives managed directly from our offices around the world.

Our social projects are aligned with the UN sustainable development goals. Fluidra’s social action also gives priority, although not exclusively, to the following vulnerable groups:

  • Older Adults: Over 65-year-olds isolated from society for lack of professional or personal motivation, health, income, occupation, or support network.
  • People with a functional diversity: People with physical and/or psychological disabilities whose situation can lead to social exclusion and problems integrating in their community.
  • People at risk of poverty: Groups with economic difficulties, especially children.

As well as social action projects channeled through Fundació Fluidra, Group companies develop their own philanthropic actions locally. The most important initiative is the PATH project in California (USA).

P.A.T.H. (Providing Alternative Tomorrow's with Hope):
Is an employee run, volunteer organization for Fluidra North American employees, based in Carlsbad.  There are 15-20 members of the group and each employee volunteer, donates approximately 1-2 hours per month to support the following organizations and activities.

Military - Warrior Foundation Freedom Station:
P.A.T.H. has chosen to support our military, due to the large military presence in Southern California.  We also have many in our company that served in our Military.  Every year we put on a golf tournament to raise money.

Health - Susan G. Komen (Breast Cancer Research) American Red Cross:
Every year many within the company, from Carlsbad and at our Salt Lake City location, walk a 5K to raise money for this great cause. There are also two blood drives a year at the Carlsbad facility where we always get a full count of participants to donate much needed blood

Local community - Brother Benos homeless shelter / food kitchen:
Brother Benos is local to our Carlsbad location, and helps homeless with clothing and food.  Every year PATH places bins around our office to collect blankets, socks, coats and nonperishable food to donate.

Industry - Swim Across America / USA Swimming Foundation:
The plan is to support Step Into Swim, a campaign to create 1 million more swimmers in 10 years!  We will also be supporting Swim Across America which is swimming to fight Cancer, and the International Swimming Hall of Fame.
